I am seeking a position as a Construction Manager/Construction Contracts Administrator with a prominent firm positioned to fully utilize my knowledge of construction; and to provide further opportunities for career advancement. I am considered a Senior Construction Specialist with extensive experience in the building industry. I have worked on numerous major projects in excess of $150M, in which occupied facilities underwent renovation and upgrades; and have served both as Owners Representative and Architect - Engineers Field Coordinator/Inspector depending on the needs of my employer and the individual project. I am an experienced Construction Phase Project Manager with strong field coordination and supervisory experience. I am a member in good standing of the Construction Specifications Institute since 1998. I am a CSI Certified Construction Contracts Administrator (CCCA), and a CSI certified Construction Documents Technologist (CDT). I possess over thirty five years of broad-based hands-on work experience involving quality control, supervisory, and project management responsibilities. My construction project experience includes, but is not limited to: * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to lead a wide variety of client, staff, and contractor personalities. * Experience as an Owners Facility Engineer serves to provide practical insight into proposed construction activities in occupied spaces, and the specific needs of various user groups potentially impacted by project work activities. * Strong ability to supervise, direct, and coordinate work in the field; and to promote communications between the field, the client and the design team. * Proven record in dealing with permitting and regulatory authorities, providing required documentation and inspection requirements in a timely fashion. PROJECT AND CLIENT MANAGEMENT * Involved in all aspects of client relations and communication during the construction process. Serve as P.O.C. for my employer regarding all Construction Phase issues. * Coordinate permitting activities with State, Federal and Local entities working with the Owner and Contractor to obtain permits; and to ensure timely inspections of work in place. * Fairly and impartially Interpret Contract Documents for design intent; and to ensure contractor compliance with plans and specifications. * Consistently and proactively coordinate and promote collaborative design team reviews of, and responses to, Contractor RFIs. * Very good overall building technology skills that lend a practical perspective to the successful completion of all assigned projects. * Proven talents as a mentor / trainer, substantiated by 10 years of classroom and hands-on training experience as a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Coach / Trainer.
